Highlights from the 2024 Corporate Retreat at St. Norbert College
From September 18th to 22nd, our company proudly hosted its annual corporate retreat at the historic St. Norbert College, a venue that holds significant meaning for us. With two of our three founders—and an additional member of our leadership team—being alumni, this location served as a powerful reminder of our humble beginnings and shared values.
The theme “family” resonated profoundly throughout the event, underscoring the culture we cherish at our organization. Many attendees remarked on the familial atmosphere that makes our workplace unique, and as one member of the team, Kevin Johnston put it, “I enjoy the people, I think that the conversions team has some of the best people on it, we laugh every day.” It was heartwarming to witness how our team’s bonds foster a sense of belonging and support, creating an environment where we can thrive both personally and professionally.
This retreat marked a pivotal inflection point for our organization, as it was our first company-wide gathering since the onset of the pandemic. It felt like a renewal, an opportunity to reconnect and build shared experiences that will fortify our teamwork and collaboration moving forward. Many employees felt this event was a crucial moment in our journey, readying us for the exciting future ahead.
Central to this year’s retreat were the breakout sessions that allowed participants to gain a deeper understanding of the innovative projects and initiatives being pursued across various teams. These sessions not only facilitated valuable networking but also provided insights into our broader strategic goals, showing how every team member’s contributions play a vital role in our success, and in the innovation of healthcare technology. Of the 55 attendees, 15 were new employees who joined us in 2024, bringing fresh perspectives and enthusiasm to our discussions.
Looking ahead, we are thrilled to commit to annual corporate retreats as well as individual team retreats as part of our ongoing investment in team development and connection. The feedback and enthusiasm from this year’s event have reaffirmed the value of these gatherings in nurturing a collaborative culture that thrives on shared experiences. We are eager to build on the positive momentum generated during this retreat as our company continues to grow with our new platform approach to healthcare technology, ‘Focus’.
